Why do we use 925 sterling silver?
We choose silver because it is a noble, durable metal with inherent value. Unlike pieces made with alloys of uncertain composition, our jewelry is crafted from 925 sterling silver, composed of 92.5% pure silver and a small proportion of other metals that provide the necessary resistance for regular use.
Each piece is identified with its corresponding 925 hallmark.
For us, a piece of jewelry should be more than just a temporary accessory. It should be able to accompany you, be cared for, and kept as a memento of a city, a stage, or a moment in your life. That's why our collections are designed to endure, not to disappear with the end of a season.
What are LOPAVOT's gold-plated pieces like?
Our gold-plated pieces are not made on a base of common metal. They are crafted from 925 sterling silver and then gold-plated to achieve their golden finish.
This way, beneath the plating, there is still an authentic silver jewel. We choose this combination because it allows us to unite the warmth of gold with a noble metal base, creating pieces with a presence and quality consistent with the LOPAVOT philosophy.
Like any finish applied to jewelry, plating can evolve with use. Its preservation will depend on both the characteristics of the piece and the care it receives.
How should I care for my LOPAVOT jewelry?
To preserve its shine and finish for longer, we recommend avoiding direct contact with water, perfumes, creams, cosmetic products, and cleaning products.
Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming in the sea or pool, exercising, or sleeping. After use, you can gently clean them with a specific jewelry polishing cloth and store them separately in their LOPAVOT jewelry box, protected from humidity and direct light.
Sterling silver can naturally darken over time due to contact with air, humidity, or the skin itself. This does not mean it has lost its quality: with proper cleaning, it can regain its shine.
Caring for a piece of jewelry is also part of preserving its history.
What does it mean that our packaging is FSC® certified?
FSC® certification indicates that the paper and cardboard used come from responsibly managed forests and other controlled sources.
We chose this packaging because we believe that the LOPAVOT experience begins before opening the jewelry box. Each piece is delivered protected in a carefully designed presentation, intended both for gifting and for storing the jewelry when not in use.
What is the BERLIN collection card?
Each piece of jewelry from the BERLIN collection comes with a card created exclusively for LOPAVOT by the brand's founder.
Its design comes from her personal experience in Berlin, from the places that were part of that period, and from photographs she took herself in the city. The image, coordinates, and text on the card turn each order into a small fragment of Berlin.
It's not just an informational card. It is part of the collection and the story that accompanies the jewelry: a keepsake to keep with it even as the years pass.
